Dr. Richard Tilson received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where also received his medical degree. After medical school, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Georgetown Medical Center. He went on to complete his fellowship in gastroenterology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is boarded in gastroenterology. He has interests in general gastroenterology and hepatology, and specializes in inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and colon cancer screening. He has personal interests in cooking, skiing, and spending time with his family.
